Roughly 2-month ago, there was an emergency storyboard section which required “drawing realistic human figures” in the studio. Me and another artist sat at the desk and tried our best, only concluded that we didn’t know how to do “realistic” figures anymore…
A painful lesson… and I decided to do something about it. I found a art studio, near my house, which hosts figure drawing sections every Monday. Great place, and lot of talented artists. Check it out:

Remember back in school? We would stay in the studio late, animated through out the night. We were not quite sure what were lay ahead, but we were fearless, willing to try anything for once. We endlessly pondered what would happen underneath the big blue sky…
Years later, here we are; Still searching.

Growing up in a big busy city on a sub-tropical island, where summer is always endless and hot. As kids, my sister and my favorite pass-time is shooting paper airplanes from the 7th-floor-height balcony. We through the planes as hard and high as we could, and watched them flew away, disserpiered between buildings.
We were lucky that neighbors never complained about it.

years ago when I lived in OC, I found a children’s playground right by the beach in Newport Beach. Late at night, when everything was dark and quiet, I would go there to clear my thought. Sometime I would sit on the swing, let wind carried me away…
The smell of the ocean always make me feel alive.
